Why Mushrooms Grown on Cereal Grains are Inferior

Premium products require premium ingredients, and mushroom extracts produced from mushrooms grown on natural substrates are SUPERIOR to mushroom extracts produced from mushrooms grown on cereal grains.  While more expensive to cultivate, organic mushrooms grown on natural substrates are HIGHER in beta-D-glucans and very low in starch. Conversely, mushrooms grown on cereal grains are much cheaper to mass produce and are very low in beta-D-glucans and high in starch. High starch equates to dilution of medicinal mushroom compounds. This is why Mycelial Life and a handful of other companies only utilize organic mushrooms and mushroom extracts from mushrooms grown on natural substrates.
